I was drooling over Lissie's mourning dress in the movie!
I am a total lover of black clothing, and I thought that this is a dress that AG will probably never make (how do you market a dress fit for a funeral??) but may be one of you talented ladies can do.
I am hopeless when it comes to sewing... so I need you gals!!!!

ooh, does anyone have a screenshot? I want to see.
(Hope you find someone to sew it. I'm not good enough yet to offer my services... especially if I don't have a pattern)

I would have to see a picture of it first.

I have not been able to find a screen shot. Somehow I don't think that this is going to be a "heavily advertised" part of the movie, for the reasons listed above.
Waiting till 12/6 and getting new batteries for the remote (that frame advance thingy is a killer!!!)

I never noticed what she was wearing during the funeral...my eyes were still teary. But I do love the brown Sunday dress she wore! I can sew, but I could never make it look like I want it to. I'll just keep looking for a replica here or on eBay. *hint, hint*

henna1- I am not an extremely talented seamstress, but if you scour the Mcalls/Simplicity/ etc patterns and see one that would be similar to the dress, if made in black, I'd be glad to give it a go and try to see what I could come up with for you. (I have McCalls M2609, M3627, but can pick up another if you find it.)
You can look at the "craft album" in my signature to see a few of the dresses I've made for my dolls, but so far the dresses I have made can be counted on 1 hand. (I've made 3 dresses, a cape and a jacket.)

I thought she was wearing the brown sunday dress at the funeral because it was quite lighter than her mother's dress.

If you're willing to pay a little (or a lot) more for quality, you might want to contact the "dollies dressmaker." She can do anything!!

That's a great idea... for after Christmas! I am too broke to even think in her price range!
Her stuff is awesome, and truly deserves every penny, though!
